SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS MUSIC FESTIVAL
Certainly there were a number of impressive features, which included the Teepee Village, some fantastic light displays, interesting vendors and unique exhibits one of which was operated by the Tibetan Gyuoto Monks.
However overall I felt that there was a real lack of any sort of atmosphere! Again purely my opinion, but I found that despite all the hype surrounding Splendour in the Grass aka Splendour in the Dust... the Festival was disappointing on a number of levels.
To me it was simply a five day Festival of blandness! With, from my perspective, a number of aspects of it poorly organised. The punters overall were urban and uninteresting. In comparison to the Cobargo Festival, I found Splendour to be lacking in creativity with few workshops and street performers.
